Whenever I print something the font is really tiny. I don't know if its a IE7
issue or if its my Brother printer issue. For example when I print a reciept
after online shopping everything is shrunk to fit the page, but front size is
so small I feel like I need a magnifying glass. Its great that everything
fits on the page, but when my co-workers do the same thing the font size is a
more readable size and they don't get anything cut off. The only way I can
get my page to print out with a font that is readable size is to
highlight/select what I want printed, then go to print preview, and then
select "as selected on screen". Changing the print % doesn't work either
because it just cuts things off after 100%. When my co-workers print they
don't need to do anything but push print. When comes down to it, I can deal
with the tiny size font or remember to highlight what I want printed, but I
have a older co-worker with eye sight issues and it would be helpful if she
could just push print and for it come out at a readable size. Its hard for
her to remember to highlight what she wants printed and then go to print
preview, etc.

"Shrink to fit" within the print margins of the paper is the default for
Internet Explorer 7. As you have seen, this sometimes produces
'interesting' results. You can change the magnification manually in the
Print dialog, but unfortunately you need to do this manually, every time
you print.

I don't work for Microsoft, but something tells me this 'feature' is
rather high on their 'to do' list of things to change.

Hi Annoy-Ing, (believe it or not this is a real persons name)

Tools>Internet Options - General tab, Accessibility button, check "Ignore
font sizes specified on web pages".

View>Text Size>Medium

These settings will over-ride the small sizes specified for fonts by web
designers on their pages and enable Print/Print Preview to correctly Zoom to
fit the page. Of coarse you may still have to adjust the margins or the zoom
level in Print Preview to achieve the results you want.

You can increase the text size by choosing a larger size from the View>Text
Size menu.

Regards.
