Daughter has IE7 and on many, but not all, websites she will get message
like "IE has encountered a problem and needs to shut down".
Example is trying to listen to BBC Radio 1 live online it happens. Same
site in Firefox works after installing the Real Player plugin.
Can IE be "fixed"?
As an aside to this would the Real Alternative work on sites like this to
avoid all the s**t Real Player installs?
Replies appreciated.

Viewing BBC Radio 1 and it's "iPlayer"
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/console/radio1
in IE requires the loading of two ActiveX Controls on your machine:

RealPlayer G2 Control - ActiveX Control
File name: rmoc3260.dll
Location: C:\WINDOWS\system32

Shockwave Flash Object - ActiveX Control
File name: Flash9f.ocx
Location: C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash

Perhaps your Daughter needs to uninstall and re-install the Flash Player on
her machine.

1. Download the Flash Player Uninstaller utility and save it to your
Desktop:
http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/uninstall_flash_player.exe

2. Download the manual Flash Player Installer program from the following
Adobe link and save it to your Desktop:
http://www.macromedia.com/go/full_flashplayer_win_ie

3. Disconnect from the Internet and temporarily disable any Real Time
Antivirus software running in the background.

4. Run the Flash Player Uninstaller Utility from the Desktop to completely
remove Flash from your system.

5. Run the manual Flash Player Installer program from the Desktop to
install the latest version of the Flash Player to your system.
