1) I am running Internet Explorer 8 on Windows Vista home edition 32 bit. I
have also installed the download manager Gigaget. When I try to open a .ram
extension file I get an Internet Explorer 8 crash. This happens both with
Gigaget disabled or not. Instead if I download the .ram extesnsion file with
Gigaget the file is downloaded and clicking on it I get the connection with
the .rm extension file and I can see the video. Using Internet explorer 7 in
Windows Vista the situation was the same, while using Internet Explorer and
Gigaget on Windows XP the behaviour of the system is the expected one.

2) in the last days I tried many times to insert this question in the Vista
Internet Explorer discussion group using the two e mails
***@alice.it and ***@ocmigroup.com but the system
verifies that the e mail addresses and the passwords are correct but can' t
write a new question or answer to a shown message.

This group discusses the *released* versions of Internet Explorer.
There is no "beta" in the name of this group. Go visit the group that
discusses the beta version. To use Microsoft's webnews-for-dummies
interface (which demands that scripting be enabled) to visit the
Internet Explorer beta group, go to:

http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/list/en-us/default.aspx?dg=microsoft.public.internetexplorer.beta

A much better solution is to use a newsreader (e.g., Outlook Express,
Thunderbird, Forte Agent, 40tude Dialog, XanaNews, Xnews). If you do
not have or do not want to use your own NNTP (Network News Transfer
Protocol) server, connect your newsreader to:

msnews.microsoft.com

Then go visit the Internet Explorer *BETA* group at:

microsoft.public.internetexplorer.beta

I have included the two questions in the internet explorer beta discussion
group. But the problems are the same for IE8 and IE7, running in Windows
Vista.

No, you're not. Internet Explorer 8 has not been released. If anything,
you're running an unfinished version of the software intended for
developer testing -- in other words, a beta.
